Folkestone Charivari Parade 2014

4 samba bands and several hundred children made their way from Folkestone harbour up through the Old Town to the Leas bandstand on the hill for Folkestone's very own street carnival. The closed off roads and thousands of spectators adding immensely to the amazing carnival atmosphere, with the sounds of samba blending into each other as we moved through the streets. After a quick pitstop for food we jumped onto the Bandstand for a quick static set, which sounded great according to the many people that came up to us after the event. Some lovely comments about how we manage to sound so good but still retain our community band roots, with inclusion for all.

Massive thanks to Strange Cargo who organised the event and the many sponsors and individuals that made the event possible.
