Crowborough Carnival

Rain tried to cancel the start of our bonfire season at Crowborough this year. However, no one, not participant nor spectator, considered surrendering! The rain eventually conceded defeat and the procession ended in the dry, albeit with face paint runs and soggy footwear.

Most importantly the bonfire ignited, and burned as if tinder, in remembrance of the one hundred anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.
