Ride London

Prudential RideLondon: the world's greatest festival of cycling saw more than 26,000 cyclists take to the streets of London and out into the Surrey countryside following the 100 mile route of the 2012 Olympic road race.

We were there to encourage them on through the wind and rain with a 5 hour marathon session of our own playing at the Alzheimers Society cheer Station in Dorking High Street about 65 miles into the ride. It was so great to see the difference we made as the riders passed by, with many cheering and waving or even dancing in their seats.  We must have been playing with such enthusiasm too as we were evicted from our cheer station and moved further along the High St as we were drowning out a DJ 100 metres away !
