Petts Wood May Fayre Parade 2014

Lovely to see such a large band today for the Petts Wood May Fayre parade - for many members their first time parading! Well done everyone.

Bloco Fogo were back again leading the May Queen parade around the streets of Petts Wood through to the Memorial Gardens. A great, typically English, May Fayre bought to life with an injection of sun and Samba. More crowds than ever this year, in some part helped by the superb weather.

Let's hope we return again next year.

New Romney Country Fayre

Back again at New Romney Country Fayre for this great friendly event a packed fayre held across two fields with a parade involving the entire community. We love being part of this event, and the organisers love us attending too because we bring that carnival atmosphere to proceedings. Such is our long-standing relationship with this event that we have even been immortalised in a mural adjacent to one of the arenas. Air Cadet bands, dog display acts, gymnastics, the Hawkinge Flyers, Belly dancers and some great cake, craft and food stalls all come together in this most typical of English Fayres.

Petts Wood May Fayre 2012

Our 2nd time at the Petts Wood May Fayre back again from 2011.

The celebrations started with a parade through the town centre by the Petts Wood May Queen group led by Bloco Fogo. A short parade under the bridge and back up to the the gardens of the Memorial Hall, along Bluston Parade where the May Fayre took place.

Over 40 community and charity stalls and a fun fair also helped keep the crowds entertained.
More information can be found at the Petts Wood May Fayre web site http://mayfayre.pettswoodhall.co.uk/

Of special note was the Reptile events stall (http://www.reptile-events.co.uk/ )where a Yellow Burmese Python took a strong liking to our costumes, blending in very nicely! Watch out for a photo in the Bromley Times !
