Dartford Festival of LIght

Playing for Cohesion Plus in conjunction with SameSky, we joined in the Festival of Light Lantern parade through the streets of Dartford, along with several hundred local school children. Then afterwards for a quick blast on the bandstand in Central Park.

Great fun playing over the bridge from the station and through the shopping centre where the noise intensified massively.

Herne Bay Festival

Herne Bay Festival - Kraken Big burn A same Sky Event

On the beach near the clocktower.
The Kraken has awoken…. and this mythical creature is heading for Herne Bay…
Below the thunders of the upper deep;
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides: above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumbered and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages and will lie
Battening upon huge sea-worms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
Alfred Tennyson

This is a one off fire installation, made specially for this not-to be missed event.

Maidstone River Festival

Playing in one of our home towns is a real pleasure, and the annual Maidstone River festival is one of the largest events in the town. Starting at the Archbishops Palace we paraded down to the river, under the bridges and alongside the moored boats and floating stages. So many people crammed in dancing on their boats, clapping, shouting for more, what an atmosphere. Hopefully we'll be back again soon.

Broadstock Festival 2013

Bloco Fogo played a very nice countryside festival this weekend in Crowhurst :)

"Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Bloco Fogo for coming to Broadstock! Everyone loved your set, it was fantastic! We're very grateful to you all, please extend my gratitude to the others.
Best wishes, Phil
Stay cool, and see you soon."
