Jemma and Rich's Wedding

Bloco Fogo were invited to play for the guests at Jemma and Rich's wedding celebration at Swallows Oast in Ticehurst. A lovely wedding venue set deep in the countryside of East Sussex.

We played a couple of grooves, before some very refreshing Pimms and nibbles and then joined briefly by a beautiful looking Jemma in her wedding dress for a second set. Unfortunately a neighbours complaints about the noise bought a sudden halt to the performance.  :-(

Nettlestead Place

Celebrating the wedding of Amanda and Stuart, we gathered on the lawn of Nettlestead Place ( outside the marquee over looking the valley to the river Medway below. Around 120 guests joined the bride and groom to the sound of Samba Reggae, Samba Duro, Calypso and Bave, led by Jazmine. Joining in on top and bottom Surdo was Mandy and Gary in full wedding outfits !

Special mention to Phil and Jan for matching red and yellow Brazilian trainers!

Cheryl and Kevins' Wedding

After almost 4 weeks of rain, the sun shone brightly for Cheryl and Kevin's Wedding Celebration at Mountains Country house in Hildenborough, Kent ( )

We paraded down the drive, playing Magdalena, to a waiting throng of guests on the lawn. Then had Cheryl don her whistle and jump in to lead us playing Samba Reggae. Then after a couple more tunes formed a "guard of honour" with samba players for the guests to walk through into the marquee to continue the celebrations.

Thanks Cheryl for having us along to share in your day, it was a fabulous atmosphere, and really glad to hear that it got everyone in the party mood, Sorry about your dress getting all muddy, but it was all in the name of Samba !

Steve and Anna's Wedding

Steve and Anna met through the band and got married on Friday 4th May with the main wedding Celebration held at an Old barn in Newdigate, Surrey on Saturday 8th May.

Leading the entrance into the barn was Steve on Rep and Anna on Shaker, playing Hip Hop and Calypso along with Bloco Fogo before the handfasting ceremony began. A fabulous event for a lovely couple and we all felt very honoured to be there.  Following the Samba, was much dancing along to the Ceilidh band helped along with copious amounts of caipirinha.
